Stephen Lash Eye Surgery

This represents 'Plan A' for removing these lenses. I have currently completed over 170 cases and 'Plan A' is successful around 40-45% of the time. It requires the lens bag to be secure and strong enough to take the new lens . 'Plan B' involves fixing the lens in the white of the eye by Scleral Haptic Fixation. The visual results are very similar, but swelling of the retina is more common with Scleral Haptic Fixation and there is the additional risk of retinal detachment at around 1-2%.
